ISLAMABAD: The executive board of International Monetary Fund (IMF) has completed the first round of the seventh review of Pakistan’s economic performance under a 36-month programme supported by an Extended Fund Facility.

A statement issued by the finance ministry on Saturday said that the Pakistani delegation led by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and the IMF team headed by Harald Finger had completed detailed deliberations for the seventh review in Dubai.

FINAL ROUND: Mr Dar and Mr Finger will arrive in Islamabad on Sunday for the final round of review on pending policy matters which is scheduled to be held on Monday.

Mr Dar had proposed that the final round of discussion be held in Islamabad, the ministry said.
