KARACHI: Foreign exchange reserves of the country eased by $43 million to $23.038 billion by the week ended August 26 as against $23.081 billion a week ago, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reported on Thursday.

During the week ended, the SBP’s reserves decreased by $58 million to $18.129 billion as compared to $18.187 billion in the previous week. During the week, the central bank made payments of $34 million on account of external debt servicing. The foreign exchange reserves held by other commercial banks slightly increased to $4.909 billion from $4.894 billion in the previous week.
