JHANG: The Federal Investigation Agency, Karachi, has issued notice to a student of Jhang district belonging to a lower middle class family with regard to an inquiry into a suspicious bank account transaction worth Rs173 million.

An FIA team had detected Rs173m worth of transaction through a bank account [in Karachi] under the title of Mohammad Asad Ali, a resident of Satellite Town, Jhang, the notice said.

It said the account holder must appear before the FIA’s team on Oct 2 (today) at FIA cyber crime building, Karachi, along with bank statements, original CNIC and other relevant documents.

After receiving the notice, Mohammed Asad Ali turned upset and told the media that he had never been to Karachi and nothing to do with the transaction. He said he was jobless and did not have any bank account.

The lower middle class family living in a five-marla house was perturbed over the situation.

ACCIDENT: A girl student of Allama Iqbal Open University, Jhang Campus, was run over and killed by a speeding bus here on Monday.

Ifra Mubeen, a student of MBA, along with other girl students was on her way back home at Sharifanwala by a motorcycle-rickshaw. Near Ayub Chowk on Jhang-Sargodha Road, a bus of a private educational institution hit the three-wheeler, killing her on the spot.
